Serving on Groups is a workshop series that empowers parents to participate actively and fully in decision-making groups, such as IEP teams and committees, among others. In this first part, we will explore what decision-making groups are, offer suggestions on how parents can participate to make a difference on issues that are important to them, and explain how to get started with shared decision-making. Participants will also receive the course manual, “Serving on Decision-Making Teams: A Guide for Families.”
