The workshop, Providing Appropriate Individual Assistance and Avoiding the Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) with Diana Autin, will provide participants with an overview of what unauthorized practice of law encompasses, why it is a problem, and how Parent Centers can fulfill their responsibilities under IDEA while avoiding UPL. Participants will also engage in small group discussions using case studies representing real-life Parent Center situations to apply the information learned.
